Ongoing Support & Hosting

Most MSPs run tickets. We operate systems.

Senior-led ongoing operations and managed services for production systems — whether we built them or someone else did. Hosting flexible across your environment, our private colocation infrastructure, hyperscaler, or hybrid combinations for redundancy.

Operating production systems is the longest-running thread of ScaleLogic's work. PCI-DSS environments under continuous compliance for more than twenty years. Multi-tenant SaaS platforms running without lapse since launch. Identity verification systems serving 25+ regulatory jurisdictions where a single outage can cost more than a year of consulting.

The reason we lead with operational depth: building something is the easy part. Running it for years, through model updates and regulatory changes and the cycle of patches that never ends, is the work that determines whether a system is actually an asset or a liability.

What we work on

The kinds of work covered by an ongoing services engagement. Most agreements involve several of these in combination, calibrated to what your system actually needs.

Ongoing System Operations

Day-to-day management of production systems we built or that you bring to us. Monitoring, patching, security updates, performance tuning — the unglamorous work that keeps systems healthy and out of the news.

Managed Services Attach

For ScaleLogic clients, an optional managed services agreement that picks up where the build engagement ends. Same team, same accountability, no handoff to an MSP that has never seen your code.

Application Maintenance & Ongoing Development

Bug fixes, small feature additions, dependency upgrades, and the steady stream of changes that production systems need to stay current. Senior engineers make the changes, not contractors learning your stack from scratch.

Security & Compliance Monitoring

Continuous monitoring tied to your actual compliance posture — PCI, HIPAA, or other regulatory frameworks. Access reviews, patch tracking, audit trail support, evidence we can produce when the next audit lands.

Backups & Disaster Recovery

Automated backups, tested restoration procedures, documented recovery plans. We test the restores, not just the backups — most teams confuse the two until the day they cannot.

Hosting Options & Flexibility

Where your system lives is a design decision, not a default. Your existing environment, our private colocation infrastructure, a hyperscaler, or hybrid combinations across multiple sites for redundancy. We help you pick what fits your data sensitivity, cost profile, and uptime needs.

Incident Response & On-Call

When something breaks, you talk to a senior engineer who knows your system from the inside — not a generic NOC operator reading from a runbook. Faster diagnosis, fewer outages, less downtime spent on the wrong fix.

Migration & Cutover

Take over operations from another vendor, lift out of an underperforming hyperscaler setup, or replace an internal team that is stretched too thin. Phased cutovers, documented handoffs, no panicked switch-flipping.

Production systems in continuous operation

A short sample of systems built and operated through ScaleLogic. Each links to the full case study.

Continuous PCI-DSS Across Two Decades

Operated a 14-storefront multi-tenant e-commerce platform with isolated per-tenant security boundaries, seven payment gateways including cryptocurrency processing, and continuous PCI-DSS compliance maintained across more than twenty years of production operation. Scale and compliance designed in, not retrofitted, and operated without lapse since.

Production ML in Regulated Environments

Operating a biometric identity platform with multi-algorithm ML consensus, browser-based inference, and regulatory compliance enforced across 25+ jurisdictions. The kind of system that does not tolerate amateur operations — every release, every patch, every deployment respects the compliance envelope.

Multi-Tenant SaaS in Continuous Operation

Built and operated a multi-tenant SaaS platform with provider-agnostic AI architecture, owned email infrastructure, and zero-downtime deployment via Git webhook automation. Built to run, not just demo — and operated continuously since launch.

Why ScaleLogic for ongoing operations

What separates this from a typical managed services arrangement.

Twenty Years of Continuous PCI-DSS Production

Compliance is not a checkbox you tick at launch. It is a discipline applied continuously through every patch, every access change, every deployment. ScaleLogic has operated PCI-compliant production infrastructure for more than two decades without a lapse.

Senior Engineers on the On-Call Rotation

When something breaks at 2 AM, you talk to a senior engineer who has seen your system from the inside. Not a junior NOC operator escalating until someone qualified picks up. Faster diagnosis, less downtime, less collateral damage.

Hosting Flexibility, Not Lock-In

We operate systems in your environment, in our private colocation infrastructure, on major hyperscalers, or across hybrid combinations and multiple sites for redundancy. The hosting question is a design decision matched to your needs, not a contract trap that bills more every year.

Same Team That Built It Can Operate It

For clients who hired ScaleLogic to build the system, ongoing operations are handled by people who know the code, the architecture, and the failure modes from day one. Zero handoff loss. Fewer surprises. Faster fixes when something does go sideways.

Compliance-Aware Operations

Patching, access changes, backup strategy, incident response — all designed to keep you inside PCI, HIPAA, or whatever regulatory framework applies. Most MSPs treat compliance as somebody else’s problem. We are built around it.

Two ways to get started

Most engagements come from one of two angles. Both lead to a conversation.

You hired us to build it

You need someone to operate what we built

A managed services agreement extends the engagement past the build phase. Same team, same accountability, no handoff to a vendor that has never seen your code. Removes the "now what?" question that often follows a successful project.

Talk to us about adding managed services

You have a system someone else built

You need senior operations for a system already in production

Even if we did not build it, we can operate it. Take over from another vendor, lift out of an underperforming hyperscaler setup, or replace an internal team that is stretched too thin. We assess what is there, plan the cutover, and operate from there.

Frequently asked questions

Do you only host on your own infrastructure?
No. Hosting is a choice, not a requirement. We operate systems in your existing environment, in our private colocation infrastructure, on major hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), or in hybrid combinations across multiple sites if you need redundancy. The right hosting answer depends on your data sensitivity, cost profile, compliance environment, and uptime requirements — and we help you pick.
What does ongoing operations actually include?
The mix is calibrated to what your system actually needs, but typical coverage includes 24/7 monitoring, incident response, security patching, dependency updates, backup operations and recovery testing, performance tuning, small feature work, compliance evidence collection, and quarterly architectural reviews. We define the specific scope in writing as part of the engagement.
Can you take over a system from another vendor?
Yes — and we do this often. The first phase is a structured handover: documentation review, access setup, runbook gaps identified, the first 30 days of joint operation with the outgoing party where possible. By the end of that phase, your system is running on our operations cadence with no panicked switch-flipping.
How is this different from a typical MSP?
Most MSPs are help desks. They route tickets, reset passwords, run a ticketing tool, and escalate anything complex. We operate systems. The person you talk to during a production incident is a senior engineer who can read the code, debug the database, and decide whether to roll back a deployment. We do not have a junior tier behind the senior sales conversation.
Can you operate systems with regulatory or compliance requirements?
Yes. Two decades of continuous PCI-DSS production operation is the longest-running thread of our work, and we operate systems across HIPAA, multi-jurisdiction privacy frameworks, and other regulatory environments. Compliance is not a setup phase we do once; it is a continuous discipline applied through every change to the system.
Do you replace our existing IT team?
Usually not. The most common pattern is augmentation: your team handles end-user IT, account provisioning, and the daily help-desk work; we operate the production systems where the business runs. We can also fully replace an internal ops team when that makes sense, but the augmentation pattern is more common and usually a better fit for mid-market companies.
How is pricing structured?
Monthly retainer, scoped to the system and the cadence rather than billable hours. The shape — hands-on daily operations, weekly review, on-call availability, project-anchored — gets defined against what your environment actually requires. We discuss numbers once we understand the scope.
